Daisy Girl Scout

I don't think I've mentioned this yet, but did you know that I am a Girl Scout troop leader?  That's right, I have a troop of 21 Daisy Girl Scouts.  You heard me - 21,  six and seven year old girls.  I loved being a Girl Scout when I was younger and have always wanted my girls to have that experience as well.  So when Madeleine was in Kindergarten last year, I approached one of my fellow kindergarten girl moms and asked if she would like to be my co-leader for a new Daisy troop for our two kindergarten classes.  I had no idea at the time that pretty much every girl in each class would want to join!  We started the troop last year in the spring and had just two meetings before school let out.  This school year we are meeting twice a month after school for about an hour and half.  It is a LOT of work trying to plan the meetings so that the girls can earn all their Daisy badges and have a good time doing it.  So far the girls seem to love it and seeing their smiling faces makes is all worth it.  So... if you want to buy any Girl Scout cookies next year, you know who to call, right?
