Start of School

The kids are back in school! The girls are in 7th and 3rd at CKS and James has started at Cistercian in the 5th grade.  James is riding the bus to and from school and Madeleine occasionally rides her bike to and from school. All three have had a great start to the new year.

Sailing in Penobscot Bay

Our sailing trip this summer had us off the coast of Maine in Penobscot Bay. We chartered a boat out of Belfast Harbor and set out to explore the islands off the beautiful coast. The boat and the scenery were very different from our previous sailing trips in more tropic waters, but we loved this experience at least as much if not more. 

We had several days of great sailing as well as a couple of days of low winds and lots of fog. We enjoyed disembarking in Castille, Northeast Harbor and Camden to explore the towns and the history.
