Valentine's Day Party

The kids had their Valentine's Day parties last Thursday at school. I was swamped with Auction work that day (the online bidding site went live that evening), so I did not get to attend their parties but I did swing by and take a few pics.

We spent a few hours after school on the playground burning off the sugar high! 😜

Pottery

Madeleine had been taking a pottery class for the past few months and loves it. This is her first piece to be shown in an art exhibit. It's a candle. 

Science Fair

Madeleine and her classmate Shebly won "Best in Show" for 4th grade for their science fair project on water absorption in roses vs carnations. This means that the judges thought their project was the best in the whole grade!  They did an experiment with colored water to see which flier absorbed the most water over a 24 hour period. We are so proud of her and she was very excited to win the award. 

Principal of the Day

The kids were principal for the day on Thursday during Catholic Schools Week. They had a great day following Mr. O'Sullivan around the school observing classrooms, talking to students and having an off campus lunch. They met Betty Bourgois, former principal of Ursuline Academy and current member of the CKS Advisory Council. They also got to participate in the faculty side of the  Faculty vs 8th Grade basketball game. James didn't score any points but he had some great dribbles and passes. 

Father/Daughter Dance 2016

The girls were so excited to go to dinner with their daddy and then the dance at school. And to add to make the night even more memorable, Charlotte lost her first tooth!
