Loving My Fryer

For my birthday this past year, I asked for a deep fryer.  I cook healthy foods 95% of the time, but sometimes baked just won't do. You need a fryer.  My friend Nancy recently made some onion rings for us and they were sooooo good! So when she had some onion ring fixings left over from a party this weekend and wanted to know if I'd like them, I gladly took them off her hands. Y'all - these are some of the best onion rings I've ever had. For real. Now I just need to come up with an excuse to fry some up for the whole family. 😉

Happy President's Day!

James had a play date with a friend on Monday morning, so the girls and I went for pedicures. The weather was perfect for flip flops!

At the Pet Store

OThe older two kids had a half day Friday, so we made a little field trip with friends  to the pet store next door to Little Gym after Charlotte's class.  The kids had fun - James loved the turtles and Madeleine now wants a pet hamster. Miraculously, we made it out of the store without any additional pets. 😊

Valentines 2014

Better late than never...

James had a craft at his class Valentines Day party.

Madeleine's class played Minute-to-Win-It games at their party.  In this one, they had to get the cookie from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands. The kids loved it!!

3rd Kid

When you're the third kid, you just have to roll with the flow. Like catching a nap while big brother is at piano lessons and big sister is at chess club.  Luckily I can transfer her in and out of the car without her waking up.  She's a pro at being the third kid. 💜💜💜

Brrrrrrr!

I must say that on the way to school today, I was very thankful for my seat warmers and heated steering wheel.

James' 1st Piano Lesson

He has been asking to take piano lessons for weeks, so today is his first class! I promise we did not pressure him into it - he has been wanting to do this all on his own.  I'm sure he has seen his sister, mom and dad all playing on the piano and of course wants in on the action. 🎶

Bowling

Madeleine tried her hand at bowling for the first time yesterday. She was very proud of her first strike and first spare! We were at Barrell & Bowl for a birthday party...when I suggested we come back with the rest of the family, she thought it was a great idea. Of course, she's never seen her daddy bowl before. 😜
