Our little girl is growing up! On Sunday, August 14th Madeleine noticed that one of her front bottom teeth was loose. She wiggled it and wiggled it and couldn't leave it alone all afternoon. That evening, it started to bleed a little and she started to freak out: "Pull it! Pull it! Pull it Mommy!" In case you haven't heard, I don't do so well with blood. That is why I married a doctor. I was too chicken to try to pull it, so I said "Go find your Daddy." It turns out he doesn't do teeth either. So she kept wiggling it and wiggling it until it finally came out. She was so proud of herself! We cleaned it and put it in a ziplock bag to put under her pillow that night. She was so proud of her tooth though that I told her she could save the tooth for a little while if she wanted to, and put it under her pillow another night for the Tooth Fairy. She thought that was a good idea and set the tooth on her dresser so the Tooth Fairy wouldn't be confused and try to take the tooth that night. However, she must have reconsidered the possible monetary gain because when I went to check on her later that night, the tooth was no longer on the dresser, but under her pillow. In the morning she discovered that the Tooth Fairy had left her $5 for her first tooth.
