Fast White Bread

This is my first attempt at white bread in my new Pullman loaf pan. I decided not to use the lid on this first loaf to see how much it would rise. The crumb and the crust turned out great! The recipe was from the Joy of Cooking and I will most definitely be using it again. I had some smoked turkey in the fridge so I made a spread with the turkey, a little mayo and a little jalapeño in the food processor and put it on a slice of the fresh bread. Not really on my diet, but soooo yummy!

  1. when are you going to develop a recipe that has very low points but has all the great taste of freshly cooked bread?

  2. Hmm... I've not thought of trying that! I think I'd need access to other "non-normal" ingredients. Maybe I'll do a little internet research and see what I can come up with. Surely someone has attempted it!
