First Day of School

So our first day of school was really two weeks ago, but that's just how it goes around here sometimes. This year we have a 6th grader, a 4th grader and a 2nd grader. Some of us were more exited to go back to school than others... 😜

This fall Madeleine will be continuing piano and pottery lessons at Zhen Music and Art Institute, riding lessons at Dallas Equestrian Center and Girl Scouts with her 6th grade troop. She will also play YMCA soccer with the CKS 6th grade girls and be a member of a new Destination Imagination team at CKS. We are also excited that she placed into honors Math and honors English!

James will be continuing his taekwondo lessons at Yim's Taekwondo, playing select soccer for the Texans, playing lacrosse for Highland Park, and he will be starting a tennis program at the Cooper Clinic.

Charlotte will be continuing her taekwondo lessons at Yim's Taekwondo, riding lessons at Dallas Equestrian Center and Girl Scouts with her 2nd grade troop. She has also started tutoring twice a week after school with a certified academic language therapist.

I will be spending a lot of my time driving kids various places and making dinner before school gets out so that we aren't eating out every night. 😉

Taekwondo Family

While the kids were out of school this summer, I took James and Charlotte to a few of my Taekwondo lessons. They both have a higher belt than I do, so it's fun to have them teach me things in class. Charlotte missed her belt test this month since it was the Saturday we had to pick Madeleine and James up from The Pines Catholic Camp, so she did her makeup test during one of my classes. One day I'll be a red and black belt like her!

She's 7!!

Charlotte turned 7 this month!! We are so proud of our spunky little ray of sunshine!! She is currently very interested in the characters from the Disney movie Descendants 2, so she requested a cake with her favorite character Uma. Her birthday list included a bike, roller skates, clothes, anything poop emoji, an Uma doll, and a Barbie puppy dream trailer.

For her birthday, her best friend spent the night - they made their own pizzas, watched a movie and then had donuts for breakfast and went for mani/pedis the next day.
