Happy 5th Birthday

James turned 5 years old on Sunday... Can you believe it? To celebrate with his friends he had a party on Saturday at Jumpstreet. He had a blast bouncing on the trampolines and playing games with his friends. Instead of cake, he requested chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream be served. Happy birthday to our sweet baby boy!!

Classroom Reader

Daddy actually made it to Madeleine's class to be the classroom reader this week! He read two fables and even impressed Madeleine's teacher with his ability to read upside-down. Madeleine was so happy to have her daddy there!

Annual Tradition

As is traditional on her birthday, Madeleine chose to go to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. We eat there only about once a year, but she remembers what eat of the animals does and where they are in the restaurant. And yes, each kid ended up with a stuffed animal from the gift shop when we left for home. Madeleine chose a grey snow leopard, James bought a tree frog and Charlotte picked out a baby monkey. And so the outrageous number of stuffed animals at our house continues to grow... :-)

Happy 7th Birthday!

Our firstborn turned 7 today! Charlotte and I took her lunch and sweets (madeleines dipped in chocolate) for her class at school today to celebrate. It saddens me a bit at how the past 7 years have just flown by, but we are so proud of the girl our "baby" has become.
